I am not the best math student and I need help in knowing what to do in this equation. y 2x _ + _ = 11 3 5 Sorry if that wasn't in the best format. I need to figure out how to isolate the y variable. Help?

I'm imagining you mean (y/3) + (2x/5) = 11 in this case multiply everything by 3 then move all the terms except Y to the other side (by subtracting them from both sides) then Y is on it's own
