    Use this property to solve for x:
    \log{a^b} = C \Rightarrow b\log{a} = C

    8^x=0.25

    8=2^3 \implies 8^x=(2^3)^x=2^{3x}

    and 0.25=\frac 14=4^{-1}=(2^2)^{-1}=2^{-2}

    So you have 2^{3x}=2^{-2}
