    Kunte is negotiating to buy a used car. The listed price is $4000. Kunte offers 10% less than the listed price. The owner counters with a price 10% greater than Kunte’s offer. What is the owner’s counteroffer

    Kunte's offer:

    4000-.1(4000)=3600

    The owner's counteroffer:

    3600+.1(3600)=3960

    Kunte's offer = listed \;\;price - \frac{10}{100} \times {listed\;\; price}

    = 4000- \frac {10}{100}(4000)

    = $3600

    Owner's offer = 3600+ \frac {10}{100}(3600)

    = $3960
