    Find the Solution of the equation..Help Please!

    40 - 4 = 0
    a

    I somehow get 40 over 4 which is 10. a=10 but it doesn't make sense. Can somebody help me with this equation? Thanks

    You are right it is a = 10, what doesn't make sense?

    because wouldn't you plug in the number 10 and so it become 10-4=0?
