that's impossible. it doesn't work no matter what h is. if this is your problem, it has no solution

no, it also has no solution. it would be all real x if $\displaystyle |x| \ge x - 1$

it seems strange that both your answers have no solution. make sure you describe the inequalities correctly

$\displaystyle \ge$ means "greater than or equal to", and

$\displaystyle \le$ means "less than or equal to"
