    Poles

    Teo poles 30m and 15m high stand upright in a ground. If their feet are 36m apart, find distance between their tops
    (a)35m
    (b)39m
    (c)30m
    (d)25m

    See diagram.

    By Pythagoras: \sqrt{(15)^2+(36)^2} = 39m

    Therefore option (b) is correct.
