just a few easy problems...

heh, I havent seen this stuff in 3 months and waited til' the last couple days to do a math packet... I cant remember the steps to these equations.

Here is a few of them if you all don't mind helping:

184 - X = 51...

4y - 8 = 20

30x = 480

All help is greatly appreciated.

Step 1: Subtract 184 from both sides.

184 - x - 184 = 51 - 184
-x = -133

Finally, multiply both sides of the equation by -1 to make the x positive.

x = 133

4y - 8 = 20

Step 1: Add 8 to both sides of the equation

4y - 8 + 8 = 20 + 8
4y = 28

Finally, divide both sides of the equation by 4.

(4y)/4 = 28/4
y = 7

30x = 480

Divide both sides of the equation by 30.

(30x)/30 = 480/30

x = 16
