A restaurant owner is told, to keep his license, the ratio of his liquor sales to food sales cannot exceed 2.5:1. If the restaurant has $50,000 in food sales, how much liquor slaes can it have? Is this correct?: 2.5___50000 --- =------- 1______x therefore:2.5x=50000 x=$20,000 in liquor sales?!?
