I have no clue... . really? A surfboard company produces a particluar style of thongs. The fixed cost to set up production is$1500
and the cost to produce each pair of thongs is $2.50 a) Write an expression for the revenue (R dollars) earned if the thongs are sold for$14.95.
Let $x$ = number of thongs produced.

They will cost $2.50x$ dollars to produce.
They will bring in $14.95x$ dollars
There is a fixed cost of $1500. The revenue (income) is: . $-1500 - 2.50x + 14.95x$ Therefore: . $R \;=\;{\color{blue}12.45}x - 1500$ b) Complete this table . . $\begin{array}{c|cccc} \text{No. Pairs} & \;\;0\, & 100 & 200 & 300 \\ \hline \text{Revenue} & \end{array}$ Just substitute $x = 0, 100, 200, 300$ into the revenue function in part (a). Edit: corrected my blunder. . . . .Thanks for the heads-up, Prove It ! 3. Originally Posted by Soroban Hello, fridayweed! Let $x$ = number of thongs produced. It'd actually be
$R=12.45x-1500$. You forgot to subtract the $2.50x$
