Weird prob that i found
Well the question states:
There is a ball of 18pi inches cubic. If that ball is dropped to a rectengular tank partially filled with water, with a base of 18 by 6, what will be the depth of water after the ball has been introduced to the tank?
Is this problem correctly stated? if i do not know the volume of the tank nor the height, how am i supposed to figure out the change in depth?
The problem is okay. You don't need to know the original depth of the water inside the tank to know how much it rose after the ball is thrown in.

18*6*y = volume of ball
18*6y = 18pi
y = 18pi / 18*6
y = pi/6 inches -------answer.
