1. ## Confused help please. Thanks

In the figure above which of the following must be true?

A. x + y = 180
B. 90 + x = 180 - y
C. 90 + x = y
D. 2x = y
E. 2y = x

I'm confuse and came up with these for each choices and need help on choosing which one is right. Thanks

A. x and y can't be 180 because the center has an 90 degree angle
B. 90 + x should equal to less than 180 right?
C. 90 + x is a large angle that should be bigger than y right?
D. 2x will be bigger then y
E. 2y will be bigger then x

the rule is, angles on a straight line add up to 180 degrees. so if you sum all the angles, you see, you get 180 degrees. the angles are x, y and 90

so x + y + 90 = 180

which choice reflects this?

3. don't really know which one because theres no answer with x + y + 90 = 180..... can you tell me which one and help explain to me why it's that one thanks. That was where i got stuck which one is the answer because i already knew it's x + y + 90 = 180 but don't know which answer choice.

Re-arrange B and see if it looks familiar.
