# Thread: How to convert to degree measure.

1. ## How to convert to degree measure.

Hello everyone! Thank you for your time, it means a lot. I've been really struggling with converting things into degree measure, my book does an awful job explaining it so it hasn't been much help So here are some examples, if you'd be able to show me how you got the answer as well that would be fantastic.

(1) Turn (-7/6)pi into degree measure.

(2) Put 13(pi)/30 into degree measure

Thanks so much, I'm sorry to bother you guys, I just can't seem to get a hold of these problems

To convert radian measure of an angle to degrees, multiply the number of radians by $\frac{180^\circ}{\pi}$

(1) $-\frac{7\pi}{6}\cdot\frac{180^\circ}{\pi}=-210^\circ$

3. Great! Following your formula I got 78 degrees for the other problem which is correct, so I think I've got the hang of it now. Thanks so much!
