    can it be simplified more?

    Yes it can. Remember the properties of exponents, \frac{x^a}{x^b}={x^{a-b}}.

    So \frac{24x^{6}y^{2}}{6x^{2}y} = {\frac{4x^{6}y^{2}}{x^{2}y}}={4x^{6-2}y^{2-1}}={4x^{4}y}
