    Post Science Calculation Problem

    Got the answer worng, can someone give me the correct answer please:-

    If L = 0.73 m and g = 9.81 m s−2, find T in the equation





    You should give your answer with the correct number of significant figures and the correct SI units.

    (N.B. You do not need to understand the underlying science in order to answer this question.)

    I submitted 8.6x10-1m bit its wrong???

    wasn't the equation given?

    as i see the given, the equation should be

    T=2\pi\sqrt{\frac{L}{g}}..

    try to substitute the given..

    ..

    was the equation but the m s-2 seems to be throwing me out. I keep getting the wrong answer.

    ANY IDEA WHAT THE ANSWER IS?

    first, the unit of period is time

    and.. ms^{-2}=\frac{m}{s^2}

    note from algebra: a^{-1}=\frac{1}{a} where a\not=0

    answer is:
    1.713984 approx to 1.71 up to significant digits.
