i have a few problems i need help with

graph each equation by writing two linear equations

1. y=abs(3x+6)

2. y= 3/2abs(3x-1)

i dont know how to turn them into linear equations

Results 1 to 2 of 2

y = abs(3x+6)

3x+6=0 when x=-2

it will be negative when x<-2 and positeve when x>-2

-1 times a negative gets it positive again. The absolute value is like a -1 that only applies to the negative part.

So up to -2 on the x axis, graph -(3x+6) which is -3x-6.

After -2 on the x axis, graph 3x+6

the next problem is basically the same thing, just multiply by -1.5 instead of -1.
