    \frac{6}{4-14 \bold{i}}

    \left(\frac{6}{4-14 \bold{i}}\right) . \left(\frac{4+14 \bold{i}}{4+14 \bold{i}}\right)

    \frac{6 (4+14 \bold{i})}{(4-14 \bold{i})(4+14 \bold{i})}

    \frac{24 + 84 \bold{i}}{16 -56\bold{i} + 56\bold{i} -196\bold{i}^2}

    \frac{24 + 84 \bold{i}}{212}

    \frac{6}{52}  + \frac{21}{53}\bold{i}

    \implies a=\frac{6}{52}, b=\frac{21}{53}

    \frac{6}{4} = 1.5

    With the form of a+bi, your number has a = 1.5, b = -14
