    expanding brackets

    Hi can anyone help me to expand this?

    (2t-10)^2 + (4-t^2)^2

    (2t-10)^2+(4-t^2)^2

    I assume you know how to square a binomial.

    \boxed {(a-b)^2=a^2-2ab+b^2)}

    (4t^2-40t+100)+(16-8t^2+t^4)

    Combining terms, we have:

    t^4-4t^2-40t+116
