How to you calculate the determinant of a 2 x 3 matrix? What would the determinant of this be?:
[1 3 5]
[2 4 6]
Thanks greatly, Jim

You can't. Determinants are only defined for square matrices.
Unless there is some exotic generalization of the determinant to the m x n case, as far as I know you can only compute determinants for n x n, i.e. square, matrices.
Thanks guys, thats what I thought.
