Divide 6/13 by 6/12

To divide 6/13 by 6/12

The trick to dividing fractions is simply to cross multiply.
When dividing:

..a........c
.--.../...--
..b........d

you get :

a*d
----
b*c

applying this to your example:


..6........6
.--.../...--
.13.......12

you get :

6*12
----- .......the 6's cancel and you are left with
13*6

12/13 answer

A good way to remember how to cross multiply is to flip the fraction you are dividing by and then multiply the two fractions as in the first example.

u need 2 receprocate the fraction on thr right which in ur case is 6/13 after receprocating ur number will be 13/6 now u have 2 change the sign 2 mutiplication and work it out
