Hey easy questionS for most ive just gone blank :I please help.
Factorise the following:
4pq - 12p^2
3k(x + 2y) - 4(x + 2y)
m^2 - 3m - 54
THANKS
For the first one, factor out a 4p:
$\displaystyle \color{red}\boxed{4p(q-3p)}$
For the second one, both terms have $\displaystyle (x+2y)$. Factor this out:
$\displaystyle \color{red}\boxed{(3k-4)(x+2y)}$
For the last one, note that -9+6=-3 and -9*6=-54. Thus, we get:
$\displaystyle \color{red}\boxed{(m-9)(m+6)}$.
Hope that his makes sense!
