For the first one, notice that $\displaystyle y^2-3y-10=(y-5)(y+2)$ and $\displaystyle y^2+2y-35=(y+7)(y-5)$ Therefore, the least common multiple of the denominator is $\displaystyle (y-5)(y+7)(y+2)$ Does it help you go through the problem a little more ?
