    i need help to show how to work out 44x28

    first thing you do is
    44\times8 = (8\times40) + (8\times4)
    then yoy go in the line below, but a - in the righter place and do
    44\times2 = (2\times40) + (2\times4)

    then you sum (counting the - as 0)
