# Math Help - math word problem

1. ## math word problem

The equation y= 0.05x + 1500.
From the equation, determine the slope of the line, and interpret the meaning of the slope in the context of Bertha's monthly salary and her monthly car sales. The Y is the salary. It starts at 0 and goes up to 3500. The X is the sales. It starts ao 0 and goes up to 30,000. The line starts at salary at 1500 and goes to 30,000 in sales.
Slope: Would it be x= 0.05
Interpretation:
What is the meaning of the graph? I put; For every 0.05 the more money you have but it was marked wrong.

Yes the slope would be 0.05. Your interpretation is sketchy although i think you mean the right thing. You notice as x increases y increases, thus the more sales the higher the salary.
