    1.

    x + 1 = y

    Where x is how many laps Brent walked and y how many Diane walked

    x = (1/24)m and y = (1/20)m, where m is the number of minutes they've walked

    (5/6)y = (1/24)m = x

    (5/6)y + 1 = y

    (1/6)y = 1

    y = 6

    Therefore Diane lapped brent after 6 laps.

    6 * 20 = 120 minutes.

    Perimeter = 2l + 2w.

    2l + 2w = 108

    2l + 2(18) = 108

    2l + 36 = 108

    2l = 72

    l = 36

    C = 5/9(f-32)

    -40 = 5/9(f-32)

    -72 = f - 32

    -40 = f

    So they're the same, basically. lol.

    l = w + 245

    2l + 2w = 1218

    2(w + 245) + 2w = 1218

    4w = 728

    w = 182

    l = 245 + 182 = 427

    Area = 182 * 427 = 77,714 sq ft.

    1845 = 0.75x

    x = 1845/0.75 = $2460
