Alright, these questions are the only ones that I just cant seam to figure out. Some help please, before my exam.

1. Brent and Diane went for a walk around the school track for exercise. Brent can walk around a park
in 24 minutes and it takes Diane 20 minutes. If Brent and Diane start at the same place and travel in
the same direction, how long will it take Diane to lap Brent?
a. 480 minutes
b. 80 minutes
c. 120 minutes
d. 5 minutes

2.Linda’s volleyball court is 18 feet wide and has a perimeter of 108 feet. Find the length of the court.

3. The temperature during the winter in Alaska over a twelve-hour period ranged from –18° Celsius to
–40° Celsius. Find in Fahrenheit the coldest temperature during the twelve-hour period. Use C=5/9(f-32) to make the conversion.

4. A rectangular park is 245 feet longer than it is wide, and the total length of fence that goes around the
perimeter of the park is 1218 feet. Find how many square feet of lawn will be needed to cover the
entire park?

5. A motorcycle is on sale for $1845.00. If the sale price is one-fourth off the original price, what was the original price of the motorcycle? a.$2378.00
