Hi, i really need to know how to solve these equations.
I have an exam tomorrow and would love someone to help me.
1)Factorise completely : 4P"cubed"Q-2PQ"squared"
Sorry about the cubed and squared, its just to the power or 3 and 2, didnt no how to type it on here
2) Solve Xsquared-3x-10=0

Many thanks
Matt

r_maths
$x^{2}-3x-10$

$(x-5)(x+2)$

$x=5$

$x=-2$

to #1:

$4p^3q-2pq = 2q(2p^3-p) = 2q(p(2p^2-1)) = 2pq(2p^2-1)$

to #2.

Use the formula to solve a quadratic equation. You should get x = -2 or x = 5
