    Solving for x

    This seems like a fairly simple problem, but I cannot seem to figure out the answer.. Solve for x :

    a*x^34 - c = b*x^17

    Let $\displaystyle n = x^{17}$ and then use the quadratic formula. Remember to convert your n back to x afterwards
