    For the second problem, there is always a number between two distinct numbers. Probably the most obvious example is \frac{3.24 + 3.241}{2}=3.2405

    Hello, recca!

    I agree with Mathstud28 . . .

    Mary says that the numbers in this list are getting bigger :

    4.1, 4.2, 4.3, 4.4, 4.5, 4.6, 4.7, 4.8, 4.9, 4.10, ... 4.98, 4.99, 4.100, 4.101, ...

    Is Mary right? . . . . no
    The are increasing up to 4.9

    . . \begin{array}{cc}4.1 \\4.2 \\ 4.3 \\ 4.4 \\ 4.5\\ 4.6 \\ 4.7 \\ 4.8 \\ 4.9 \\ \;4.10 & \Leftarrow\text{ same as 4.1}\end{array}
