    exponential equations

    log(3x+5)= 3




    13^(-x/9) = 17

    i need help finding the solutions the negative threw me off.

    log(3x+5)=3\Rightarrow{3x+5=10^3}\Rightarrow{x=\fr ac{10^3-5}{3}}

    13^{\frac{-x}{9}}=17...then by using our logarithim rules

    \frac{-x}{9}=log_{3}(17)\Rightarrow{x=-9log_{13}(17)}
