    Complex equation

    the set of complex numbers z satisfying the equation
    (3+7i)z + (10-2i)conjugate(z) + 100=0 represents in the complex plain

    1. a straight line

    2. a pair of intersecting straight line

    3. a pair of distinct straight line

    Let z = x + iy

    Then
    (3+7i)(x + iy) + (10-2i)(x - iy) + 100=0

    That will give you (presumably) two equations in x and y. Solve each for y and see what it gives you.
