# Math Help - Logarithmic Help please

Hey, im doing work on logarithms but these two kinds of q's have puzzled me could you plase tell me what the process to solving these type f q's is.
how do i work out how to express these type of terms in log x ,logx^5-2logx.
also for these type of logarithms to the base of 10 to solve these equations, 0.99^x=0.000001

$\log(x^5)-2\log(x)=5\log(x) -2\log(x)=3\log(x)$

Take logs:

$\log_{10}(0.99^x)=\log_{10}(0.000001)=-6$

so:

$x \log_{10}(0.99)=-6$

$x=\frac{-6}{\log_{10}(0.99)}$
