do I get $5a\sqrt{30a}$ with 6a for the answer?

But the only "problem" I can see is that you have not defined the nature of your problem. There is no equation to solve, just a simple expression which, at present, sits upon my PC screen without as much as a note from home that would offer some context to an otherwise meaningless string of terms.

If you are trying to simplify $a+5\sqrt{a^2 - a - 30}$ , then no.
$a + 5 \sqrt{(a-6)(a+5)}$ is the best you can do.
