I do believe that sequence is (nth digit of π)+(nth digit of e):
    3+2=5
    1+7=8
    4+1=5
    1+8=9
    5+2=7
    9+8=17
    2+1=3
    6+8=14
    5+2=7
    3+8=11
    5+4=9
    etc…
