    the quare foot of 124

    how would you simplfy the square root of 124
    when you simplify the square root of 125 you can have 5 squareroots of 3
    taht is what i mean

    Hello,

    124=2*62=2*2*31

    So d'you have an idea on how to simplify ?

    Find the biggest factor of 124 that is a perfect square and use the property that: \sqrt{a \cdot b} = \sqrt{a} \cdot \sqrt{b}

    Also, \sqrt{125} \neq 5\sqrt{3}. Using what I told you above:

    \sqrt{125} = \sqrt{25 \cdot 5} = \sqrt{25} \cdot \sqrt{5} = 5 \sqrt{5}
