Solve The Following Equation:
3(2a-1)
-------- = 4
7
please explain (if u can in words how u did it)
pls keep it simple i dont have a good vocabulary
$\displaystyle \frac{3(2a-1)}{7}=4$...using the distributive property $\displaystyle \frac{6a-3}{7}=4$...then by multiplying both sides by 7...you get $\displaystyle 6a-3=28$...adding three to each side you get $\displaystyle 6a=31$...then finally by dividing by six you get $\displaystyle a=\frac{31}{6}$
