You add or subtract half the value of the digit to which the number is given, which in this case 1 decimal place or 0.1.

    The upper and lower bounds are +/- 0.5 * 0.1 = 0.05, respectively.

    Upper bound is:

    1.05

    Lower bound is:

    0.95
