2.
c^2-3c c
______ / ___

2. Hello,

Try to use LaTeX or make it on a single line (with appropriate brackets, / for division, * for multiplication), please ^^

Any Help would be greatly appreciated

This would be handled that same as we did here:

http://www.mathhelpforum.com/math-he...8-algebra.html

Except that dividing by a fraction is the same as multiplying by it's inverse.

Go here to see actual numbers in action:

Fractions

Enter any 2 fractions and press the "Divide Fractions" button. You will notice we multiply by the inverse of the denominator. This is what you need to do, but with variables, and the rest is the same as in the thread above where I linked you to.

$\frac{3a}{5b^2} \div \frac{15a^2}{7b^3}$

Flip the second fraction to turn the division into multiplication...

$\frac{3a}{5b^2} * \frac{7b^3}{15a^2}$

$\frac{3a*7b^3}{5b^2*15a^2}$

Powers on the bottom can be sent to the top as negative exponents!

$\frac{21}{75}a^{1-2}b^{3-2}$

$\frac{7}{25}a^{-1}b^{1}$

$\frac{7b}{25a}$

Did that help?
