    quadradic

    tell me the whats wrong and please write it again correcting it

    2x over 5 - 13 = 4x + 23

    2x over 5 - 13 = 23

    2x over 5 - 4x = 36

    2x - 4x = 180

    -2x = 180

    x = -90

    thanks to everyone who solves it

    the line which you are doing incorrectly is:
    2x - 4x = 180
    Note: when you multiply or divide the L.H.S side you must also do it to the R.H.S

    2x/5 - 13 = 4x + 23
    2x/5 - 4x = 36
    This is where you cross multiply
    (2x-20x)/5 = 36
    -18x = 180
    x = -10
