    Question Factoring - another problem

    Factor 4x^2-4x-80


    My answer: 4(x+4)(x-5)


    Do I have the correct answer?

    Yes. A good way to check is to take your answer and do the reverse of factoring. Multiply it all out and see if you recover what you started with.

    You should never ask if your factoring is right since you can always multiply out and check.
