Here's the problem:

If $\displaystyle 9x^3+3x^2$ is divided by $\displaystyle 3x^2,$ the quotient is

3x

3x+1

Please don't just tell me the answer, i also want to know how to do it.

2. $\displaystyle \frac {9x^3+3x^2}{3x^2} = \frac {9x^3}{3x^2} + \frac {3x^2}{3x^2}$

Factor a 3 out of everything:

$\displaystyle \frac {3x^3}{x^2} + \frac {x^2}{x^2}$

Factor an $\displaystyle x^2$ out of everything:

The answer is C right? Wow i feel like an idiot, that was such an easy question and i just didn't feel like reading the whole questions correctly. I should read the question better more often.

4. Yes the answer is C. Sometimes putting the question down for a few minutes then coming back to it can help. Never underestimate the power of a fresh pair of eyes.
