    y = \frac{1}{3x}

    We know to use a solid line because there is an equality as part of the inequality.

    Now pick a point not on the line. (Something simple, like (1, 0).) Putting this into the original inequality we see that this point is NOT inside the solution set. So shade in the other "side" of the xy plane.
