1. ## Rearranging Equations

I have a worksheet from school with a series of questions about rearranging equations. I can do most of the questions, but there are a few I am struggling with. Ie

2a+1 = 5a-2/2

2 + (3w+2)/4 = (2w+1)/2

etc.

Yes I know I'm really stupid and you're meant to learn it in eighth grade, nenene. But can someone help me out? And show working please, that's the part I'm struggling with?

For problem one, Simplify fractions first, you get 2a + 1 = 2.5a - 1
a = 4
You requested the math work, so go here:
1 unknown variable equations

Plug in each side of the equation into the boxes.

Problem #2: simplifying, it is 2 + 0.75w + 0.5 = w + 1/2
Grouping like terms = 2.5 + 0.75w = w + 0.5
Plug these in on the same link I gave you to get:
w=8

On the same link I gave you, plug in your info and press calculate to see the work and the answer.
