Red face hey just not sure where to go with this one..

Find all real solutions to the following :

    ln(x +1) + ln x = ln2

I get too ln (2x+x) = ln2 ..then can I just get rid of the logs? Or do I have to multiply each side by something?

    thanks for your help

    hint

Use the rule that \ln(a) +\ln(b) = \ln(ab) and treat each side as the exponent of some special number. (hint: ask Euler)
