Thread: diagonals and decagon

I'm having trouble with this problem

How many diagonals can be drawn from one vertex of a regular decagon?

d.70

There are ten vertices in a decagon; from one vertex you can draw a segment to any of the other nine vertices. Two of those segments are sides in the decagon, the other seven are diagonals.

sounds like 8 to me. The two adjacent corners aren't diagonals
