    Unhappy Can't solve simple conversion? help!

    how do you convert 2 centimetres per second into kilometres per day?

    according to the answer key..the answer is 1.728

    know your conversion factors

    1 km = 1000 m = 100,000 cm

    and 1 day = 24 hrs = 1440 mins = 86,400 sec


    thus, \frac {2~cm}{1~sec} \times \frac {1~km}{100,000~cm} \times \frac {86,400~sec}{1~day} = \frac {1.728~km}{1~day} = 1.728 \mbox{ km/day}
