    Easy algebra

    In a right angle triangle the hypotenuse is 15cm. If the second side is twice the length of the third side, calculate the exact length of the shortest side

    Let the shortest side have length x.

    Then x^2 + (2x)^2 = 15^2 \Rightarrow x^2 + 4x^2 = 225.

    I hope you can solve for x from here ......
