If angle 2 and 3 are supplementary, then they add up to 180 degrees, therefore:

$\displaystyle angle_2 + angle_3 = 180$

Now we plug each equation in:

$\displaystyle 10x + 15 + 7x + 42 = 180$

$\displaystyle 17x + 57 = 180$

All you do now is solve for x, plug x into the two original equations and find each individual angle.

And you're done.
