    \ln (z^2 - 6) - \frac{1}{2}\ln (z^2 - 3) = \ln (z^2 - 6) - \ln \sqrt{z^2-3} = \ln \left( \frac{z^2 - 6}{\sqrt{z^2 - 3}} \right).
