    Exclamation equation help

    If a 34-foot tree casts a shadow of 101 feet, what is the angle of elevation of the sun?

    Part 1: Draw a diagram of the situation:





    Part 2: Write a trigonometric equation that models the diagram.





    Part 3: Solve the trig equation to determine the angle of elevation of the sun.

    You know y = 34 and x = 101, so you have the "opposite" and "adjacent" sides. According to Native American Indian Chief Soh-cah-toa, tangent of an angle is the opposite over the adjacent. Is that helpful?

    Exclamation hmmm

    im not too sure, im a math baddie... so im quite dumb.


    the diagram of whats going on, how would i do that? and let alone

    Write a trigonometric equation that models the diagram (how would i do that?)

    Solve the trig equation to determine the angle of elevation of the sun. I think i can do this equation alone, but some help would be nice. im guessing u would multiply the adjent/opposite sides?
