btw you can check if your answer is right by putting a value to the variable
ex. =
so let x be uhm... 1

=

therefore our answer is correct

just wondering,
if there was a minus in the equation, e.g:
(1+7k)(5-k)
that would equal 5-k???

yes you can come back. as long as you are willing to try more on your own. it realy doesn't help if we do problems for you. and especially if this is something to hand in, we can only give you hints, or at most solve one problem maybe, which has been done

you are multiplying (5 - k) by something that is not 1. how would you get (5 - k)?
