    Height of Mount Everest

The height of Mount Everest is 8848 meters. Express this height in scientific notation.

Rule: If the given number n is greater than or equal to 1, the scientific notation is n X 10^N.

So, using this rule my answer is 8.848 X 10^3.

    Yes?
